How long does it take for the post office to contact you after a drug test?

I've taken the written exam to be an RCA, and have heard back from a local post office. They had me submit information for a background check and take a drug test, which I passed. How long should I expect to wait to hear back from them for the next step? And is getting a drug test with the post office a pretty sure sign of having the job barring any other complications?

1. It takes 45 days please !!!
2. Having to take the drug test is mandatory for all Postal jobs anymore. You'll still have to take and pass a driving test also. Being a rural carrier myself; I can tell you that the Post Office usually doesn't hurry when hiring RCA's. Good luck.
