- Yahoo mail is not a client in this sense, but a service. An example of a client would be Outlook, Vista mail, outlook express, Eudora (old), Thunderbird, etc. You can set a command to open mail.yahoo.com anytime a mailto: reference is used, but it won't actually open a new message with that email address as the "to", it will just open yahoo mail. I think this is what you're trying to do, but in that case, you would see your internet browser as the default mail client, which typically doesn't work well, because you'd have to do some scripting. If you want to set mail up in an existing client, like Outlook, Windows Mail, Outlook express, etc, you would need to configure whichever client you chose to check the yahoo mail server and put in your credentials. The process is slightly different for each, but the server settings are basically the same. If you need more instruction, feel free to message me. My intent was more to get clarification, because what you're looking to do can't be done the way it sounds like you want it to be done, as yahoo mail isn't a client.
