Information about United States Postal Service.?

I am not familiar with USPS, or how it works. If I would go to one of their office with an item which I want to send, would they pack it for me, or do I have to do it myself, because it would look pretty stupid coming in there with that. Also, can you please give me some more information of how this works.

1. Typically you would have to pack it yourself. They have various sized envelopes, small packages, and other shipping supplies available to you that you can purchase at the USPS or you can package it beforehand and take it to the post office. Depending on what you send (how big it is, how fragile, etc.) you might want make sure you pack it properly. Compared to other shipping companies, USPS is not always friendly on their packages if you know what I mean. And if you ever have any questions, doubts, or concerns about your package, you can always go to the counter and ask politely. Usually they'll be willing to help.
