FedEx Tracking - What does this mean?
This is what the tracking information says: April 14 2:17 PM : Picked Up (Memphis, TN) 3:03 PM: Shipment Information sent to FedEx 7:04 PM: Left FedEx Origin Facility (Memphis, TN) April 15 1:47 AM: Arrived at FedEx Location (Memphis, TN) I thought "Left FedEx Origin Facility" meant it was shipped out from Memphis, so why does it say "Arrived at FedEx Location" in Memphis? Does "Left FedEx Origin Facility" mean something else? Thanks!

- apparently they have more than one location in Memphis your package first left a location then it arrived the other one
- Memphis is the primary air hub for Fed EX. The package was mailed in Memphis, went to a ground/sorting facility in Memphis, and then moved from the Memphis ground facility to the Memphis Air Facility. If you had mailed it from New York it would say: 7:04PM: Left FedEX Origin Facility (New York, NY) and still say 1:47AM Arrived at FedEx Location (Memphis, TN) *the times would be different, but you get the idea*
- it is for tracking the package you bought so you can see how far the package is away from you
- Fedex has a sorting facility on all major cities. In most cases, the origin facility is not the one that carries your package out of the city/state/country.
