Postal Letter

What should I do if I quit my job and they refuse to send me my last paycheck?

I recently quit my job, and they refuse to send my paycheck via mail. My last day was 4/10/2009 and we get paid on a bi-weekly basis; which means my check should have been mailed out on 4/16/2009... Apparently it wasn't because I'm one week shy of a month from then and still have no check. I've tried to contact them via US postal service, telephone, and e-mail and get no response. I'm already in the process of taking action through my state's labor commissioner, but was wondering if I should do anything else or just wait it out and see what happens with my claim. I need advice!

  1. Labor comissioner is the way to go. If they don't respond to US mail you could try to collect unemployment. You'll need a good reason as to why you quit. Usually quitting doesn't allow one to get unemployment. You should also list the name of the company, and their phone number, with area code, here. In that way they will get their deserved strike.
