Postal Letter

What is the cheapest way of sending (surface mail?) from USA to UK. I'm thinking around 20 pounds weight?

I believe that USPS used to offer "surface mail" but now the cheapest rate for general goods is "International Priority". If I don't need the goods to arrive inside 2 weeks (as International Priority promises), is there a cheaper way of shipping? I know there are other shipping options, but DHL/FedEx etc are all shipments. Someone said that USPS had stopped doing "surface" mail and that there were plenty of other options; that's what I was looking for - a "surface" option. I don't mind if it takes 4 or 5 weeks, but I need to get the cost down.

  1. USPS is probably the cheapest way to ship something that heavy to the UK. This is from my own experience. If you want to try you get get quotes from all the other couriers in their websites...DHL, UPS, FEDEX But, I'll tell you now...they will be much more expensive. I think your out of luck.
