Postal Letter

What are the odds of the USPS delivering a letter if it is addressed with only a name and city/state/zip?

Assume that the name is unique enough that there are not multiple people with the same name in the same zip code (e.g. not "John Smith").

Public Comments

  1. It will be sent back. Unless you live in a town with 200 people or less.
  2. It depends, if the city, state, and zip code were only on it with a name, it will most likely be returned, however, if the zip code plus four was on it, it may actually get delivered, but don't count on it!
