what time of day do fedex ground deliveries come to your house?

because i ordered a phone, and it's supposed to take 3-5 days to get here with fedex ground, but i dont know if i'll be at my house when they deliver it. If i'm not here, then what happens to my package?

  1. It depends, if you have a tracking number you can track it and it should give you an estimated time if I am thinking right, but it is usually around mid afternoon. If you are not there I think it depends on the driver they will either leave it or try and deliver it again the next day, I think they try for a few days and if they still do not catch you at home then you will have to pick it up at the local fed ex office but they will leave you a note stating what they will do with your package.
  2. Usually at around noon, but I have had them come as late as 7pm. What would happen if you are not there depends on what kind of service was requested. Some packages can be left at your door step. Some package can be left at your door step IF you sign an agreement. Some package must be signed by for by an adult. If the package can not be left, they will leave a sticker on your door with instructions. Typically, they make at least 3 tries before sending the package back as undeliverable.
  3. Unless you are a business, all couriers do not guarantee time of delivery. Your package could arrive any time between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM. Often, if you are not home, they will leave the package hidden to a passer-by, but you will noctice it. Such as behind a potted plant by your door or in your mailbox. If the box is too big to do that, you will need to go the the fedex depot to pick it up. The delivery person will leave a note telling you where the depot it.
