what I have to do if my employer FeDex Ground don't gave us work?

We are independent contractor with Fedex Ground and now we are under the pressure, because we don't know when they will give us work and how we can pay our bills. Ho can I tell?

1. You really can't tell - Fedex has had a major slowdown, including a pay reduction for the Managers and laying off of all "extra" employees - I know because I used to work for a contractor and was layed off (from the Home Del'y unit)
2. You really cant do much, fedex as a whole just announced loses of 75% for its third quarter. The reason you have no work is because frankly, in this bad economy, even the small parcel industry is struggling. Consider yourself lucky to still have a job. Fedex just laid off 1000 employees. All except managers took a 5% pay cut. Unfortunately, you just need to hope for the best and tough it out. Maybe look for a part time job?
