- One year back we could configure the Outlook for yahoo mail account, but now its discountinued. You need to purchase the paid e-mail plan from yahoo to have this facility.
- For yahoo mail you need upgrade to yahoo mail plus (@ $19.99 per year).to get the full pop3 service for access to Outlook,Incredimail, Thunderbird and others. For more info on setting up your pop3 account see the link below. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/mailplus/pop/pop-35.html * Incoming Mail Server (POP3): plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com Use SSL, port: 995 * Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication. There is a free program called "YPOPS" it's not approved by yahoo and is not fully compatible some users can get it to work but most can't. If you have “yahoo.co.uk” address some users can get free pop forwarding see below. Click “options” (top right) on your mail page>mail options>pop and forwarding> Set up or edit pop & forwarding>type in the address you want to forward to and click save. * Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk Use SSL, port: 995 * Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smpt.mail.yahoo.co.uk Use SSL, port: 465. Note: In order to be able to send emails from outlook and others through/to yahoo (pop3) you need to pay for a yahoo mail plus account. @ £11.99 per year. http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/yahoo/mail/classic/manage/pop-06.html
- You are going to have to get Yahoo Mail Plus to do that with yahoo. However, if you switch to Gmail (Google Mail), everything is free. I used to have a Yahoo Mail account, but now my primary email is Gmail, mainly because absolutely EVERYTHING is free! Hope I helped! ~~Zaizer~~
