Why do postal jobs want you to call 800# and then pay for a packet to apply?
Is it legit? Sounds kind of easy to do. Anyone have experience with this? If so, what are the steps?

- These are usually scams. You pay premium rates for the telephone call, pay for a starter pack. Then earn absolutely nothing. Unless you are introduced to a scheme by someone you know who has made a success of it, avoid it.
- They don't. Applying for a job at the post office (assuming you're talking about the USPS) is completely free -- just like applying for any other type of job anywhere should always be. If you have to pay to apply for a job, that's a good sign you're being scammed. Here's legitimate information about how to work for the USPS: http://www.usps.com/employment/welcome.htm?from=home_footer&page=careers Keep in mind, though, that the USPS is closing down offices and cutting back on hours for many of their employees. This isn't a really good time to be planning on starting a career there.
