Postal codes in the united kingdom?
can someone explain how did they do the postal codes in the UK, is there some kind of pattern cuz i cant figure it out sometimes they use the N,W,E,S and sometimes they just have a shortcut name for each city please HELP

- London has North, South, East, West postcodes as you've spotted. The rest of the country has an area code normally relating to the nearest administrative city, followed by a number. For example BN - Brighton, PL - Plymouth, LS -Leeds etc.
