Postal Letter

How long will it take an overnight express USPS envelope to get from CA to FL?

My boyfriend just mailed an envelope from CA at 11pm EST USPS express overnight. When I will receive it in FL? Whoever is closest to being right gets the best answer!

  1. should be there by 3:00 pm next day. Sometimes if its far express can be 2 days also.
  2. If he had sent it by 7 p.m. you would have received it by 3 p.m. on Friday, but since he mailed it later...you should receive it by Saturday afternoon.
  3. Well. . . .overnight!!! Mailing it at 8 pm Calif time is okay. It should have gone out that night. I think they allow overnight to be delivered by noon, but the post office has loosened their requirements for delivery. Especially if you're in some smaller town whre there's not a huge city nearby. Smaller towns take more time to drive your package to your local post office. If you are in Miami or such, then expect it by noon. Otherwise, it should be there by 3-5 pm the next day. But what I'm interested in is what's so important that your boyfriend sent you express mail overnight service? And what's your boyfriend doing in Calif when you're in Florida? Kind of a too long of long distance relationship. Now, if you're sending him something overnight express, then that'll get our minds thinking about what it might be. But for him to express to you?? Don't think anything would be THAT important that a phone call or reg letter service couldn't handle.
  4. USPS Express is 1 - 2 days. It may be there on Monday, but probably not until Tuesday. It might even be Wednesday, but I doubt it. They are pretty good. Mail deposited during the night does not get processed until the next morning. Effectively, it was mailed on Friday. Saturdays and Sundays do not count for delivery time (the 1 - 2 days). Gotta love the fine print...
  5. sometime the next day.
