USPS Track and confirm status hasn't changed is this normal?

I sold something on ebay and shipped it using the us postal service, and it was supposed to be shipped out on wednesday. It is now friday and the status in track and confirm has remained the same. It says: electronic shipping info recieved Does this mean that it is being shipped? or is it just sitting somewhere not getting shipped?

1. You probably bought Delivery Confirmation for your package. It will update after the item is delivered. DC is not tracking. The use of the phrase 'track and confirm' on the USPS site is deceiving.
