How can I minimize my trips to the post office when selling items on ebay?

I sell many items for small profit. It seems as though I make a trip to the post office a couple times a week and wait in line for a while because of the metro location. Is there any possibility to ship from my apartment? or send it from my apartment even when i'm not home?

1. The Post Office has free pick up. All you have to do is email them.
2. As long as you put the right stamps in the packages, your courier can pick it up. You can sign up for courier pickup at the USPS website https://carrierpickup.usps.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CarrierPickup.woa Also talk to your postman the mechanics and process for courier pickup. It is best if you already have a scale at home so you can properly put the right amount of stamps in the packages
3. You can order priority mailers, and buy prority postage stamps.You can buy postage online and the Boxes, tape and address lables are free online as well and they come right to the door.... As long as you know its under the weight of priority mail then you can just put in any outgoing mail box , and even leave it at the mailboxes in plastic bag for the post man... Go to www.uspo.com
4. Try calling DHL Express. They've done a good job for me. I've opened an account and they pick-up, deliver & track. They're out of this world.
5. Become a member of Stamps.com, or get set up with the post office with a meter and scale. You can then schedule daily pickups.
6. Visit http://www.usps.com There you can order supplies, print postage, and order free carrier pick up. If you have a safe place to leave the items tha carrier will pick it up when he delivers your mail.
