Is it possible to mail to the postal office?

Like mail something to the postal office, were the receiver arranges to pick it up from the postal office. Instead of mailing it to the home address About How much would a box cost? nvm about the PO box @judy thanks, ill check that out but with the PO box i don't think they do this anymore.

1. 2 dif questions; mailing to the PO means for an inspector as the recipient to have someone go there to pick up mail u just rent a postal box.
2. This is done mainly in small rural towns. You would need to check with the Post Office you want to send the mail to. Most will require the recipient to rent a PO Box.
3. There used to be something called General Delivery - you'd address the mail to John Doe General Delivery city, state, zipcode (or then was probably city, zone, state) and the person could pick it up at the window at that post office. Doesn't exist many places any more.
