"Free" boxes from USPS?
I just ordered "free" boxes from the USPS online. I want to know if they are really free and if I have to pay extra when printing/paying for a shipping label online. I will be doing a lot of shipping in the coming weeks, and if these boxes really are "free," then that would ease a burden.

- I'm assuming you ordered the Priority Mail boxes. I've ordered those before to ship stuff I sold on eBay. I think legally they are the property of the post office until you use them to mail something, and then the cost of the box is included in the price you will pay for priority shipping. You can't mail them by any other (cheaper) method and must send them via priority. (Unless you get clever and turn them inside out so only the brown part is showing, but this is technically illegal) So to answer your question, they are "free", but the price of the box is built into the cost of priority mail.
- The boxes are provided at no cost. You would still have to pay the postage to send them.
