- You should call your local post office and see if they accept things addressed to you as "general delivery". Back in the old days that's how things were done. You may have to actually have a post office box for them to accept delivery. There are so many more mail rules now because of mail fraud and terrorism.
- Yes, if you rent a PO box.
- Obviously you are entering the world of the entrepreneur! Congrats, and now it's time to get serious. Do whatever it ends up taking, to get yourself a USPS Post Box. Or perhaps a private service Post Box, which will perhaps show an address as Suite #XXXX, at some address. Both options have their advantages, which change with the personnel's attitudes who are in charge at that location, and regs. Go to several such places and see what is offered and required. If you are still legally a non-human, a co-signer may be necessary. The excuse that you are considering operating a small business out of it, will convince many a parent figure that herein lies the gateway to your getting your own self-supported apartment soon, and being more capable of taking care of them in their old age, if they let you grow now, while you are feeling it. All of us sometimes would be best served in our modern culture, by freedom from the scrutiny of family and friends, etc., in our private business. You don't want to reveal sources or prices you initially paid for wholesale quantity purchase on special closeouts, for example, if you plan to resell to individuals. And on and on. Start your personal empire best with a private mailbox. Good Luck. Regards, Larry.
- You should list your legal address, but you can notify your post office that you don't want packages left at your address. Also, the item has to be shipped by US Postal Service, the postal service cannot accept packages for someone delivered by UPS or FedEx.
