How to package & ship magazines?

I'm selling a magazine on eBay. The dimension is 8" x 11" x 1" Through US Postal Service, what type of service should I choose to guarantee that the buyer will receive his item. Do I choose Priority Mail or Parcel Post? Which flat rate box do I pick? What's the difference between buying a box at Walmart and getting the flat rate box?

  1. I suggest recycling boxes. You can cut up boxes into flat squares or rectangles, then sandwich them around magazines if it is only one or two mags. If you have a stack of mags: You should get a cube box then use newspaper filler. For print such as books and magazines you can use media mail, which is less expensive than priority or parcel. To guarantee that the buyer receives it you can buy a delivery confirmation. If you go to sold items in ebay; then click print a shipping label, you can do all of this at home if you have 1) a printer 2) measuring tape 3) a scale If you dont have these things then just box it up, and take it to the Post Office. When telling them that you want media mail, they will probably ask what are the contents, and you tell them magazines. Usually they will send mags in media, but sometimes they want to send them in a different cut rate mail specifically for periodicals. It is even less expensive, and faster. Probably they will just go media though. You can also do media from your home now whereas you used to have to go to the post office to do media mail. hAvE fUn
  2. Try Priority Mail Flate Rate Envelope. It's a free envelope, reasonable shipping cost, and will get to the buyer much faster than parcel post.
  3. Any service is afterall completed by men alone. Can u gurantee it wont get damaged even if u choose the better one? Just belive and send it thats all.
