Question about shipping USPS and UPS?
I am trying to have a product shipped to a physical address in which has no mailbox. The shipping options are as follows. Free Shipping (7 day ground) USPS Priority USPS Express USPS First Class Is it safe to assume that the top option is also USPS or am I that dumb? The question is asked because USPS only delivers to mailboxes, at least that's the way it is around here. Thanks I just want to know if every one of those options are USPS. As you see the free 7 day ground option does not say USPS. I want to know if that is UPS. I do not have a mailbox and I want it delivered to my house.

- The United States Postal Service are the only ones allowed to deliver to there PO Boxes..... UPS (United Parcel Service) and FedEx are not allowed to deliver to them....... Use the Postal Service Priority Flat Rate boxes.... Depending on size and weight they are actually a good deal to ship this way.....
- Hi, I prefer using priority mail, free boxes, online cost is less & they will pick up your package.
- Well if you are ordering something they must offer free shipping options which is probably UPS Ground therefore they will deliver to your doorstep. USPS will deliever to your door not just your mail box. They have a parcel delivery service as well but I have not found it to be as reliable as UPS.
- It is not true that "they must offer free shipping options." Most products that you order online or by phone or by mail have fees for shipping. If a company offers free shipping it just means that they have incorporated the shipping costs into the price of the product. That being said, the first option you list does not specify which service will be used, but it is most likely either UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. If you don't have a mailbox (I thought everybody had a mailbox unless the house was just being built or it got knocked down) and you're not in a hurry, the first option is probably best for you. The USPS will deliver small packages that fit in your mailbox- in your mailbox, and I'm honestly not sure what they do if you don't have a mailbox, because that's where they're supposed to deliver. If your regular mail goes to a P.O. box I'm pretty sure your package would go there too if you choose any of the three next options you list. If it's too big to fit in your box, you'll get a note saying you have a parcel and you'll have to collect it when the post office is open (not just the lobby that leads to the boxes). You can always ask the company you're buying from what they mean by "free shipping (7 day ground)" but it is most likely UPS Ground or FedEx Ground, both of which deliver to your door. I'm curious as to how you get your regular mail?
