Would you accept money from an anonymous source?
I am a person who had dedicated and taken a vow to myself and God to help others everyday of my life. I have been very blessed and well favored financially. I'd like to remain anonymous, for the simple fact that, I do not like to receive credit for what it is I was put here by God to do. We are living in very trying times, and there are not many people who will turn down free money, but would it ever make you feel strange, not knowing where it came from? What are some ways I could make it less "stalker-ish:", if you will? Few examples: If you didn't have enough change to put in your meter, and tried to run into a store and push your luck and when you came back, you had a full meter with 2 hours of time. Would you be weirded out, or just curious? If you were a college professor, and you came to school and found that in your office mailbox (if such things exist for college professors), you found an envelope containing 5 postal money orders, all made out to you, worth 5 to 10 grand, would you be hesitant to cash it, out of fear of some setup, or would you gladly take it. What would make you feel more comfortable accepting money from someone you didn't know. If someone just came up to you and gave you a hundred dollar bill and walked off, what would you do? I know all of this might sound really weird, but for those of you who take the time to answer, thank you.

- I didn't read the above, but I don't accept money from strangers, Its wrong, i would never do that. But thats just me!
- oh please i wuld accept money from a crackhead
- Meter is just a minor favor, the person probably just had more coins than would fit into the pocket. 5-10 grand is not minor, whoever gave it will be expecting something in return, or is framing you for accepting a bribe. 10K is definitely not worth risking one's career. Same for $100 bill, or the person is mentally unstable and taking from them is stealing.
- The meter thing is a pretty nice and cool idea. I would assume it was a scam if I suddenly had 10 grand worth of money orders. My best suggestion to you is to do the donations through the church. Give the church the money, and let the church handle giving the money to the people you want it to go to. Churches get anon donations all the time, and that way, people will know its real.
- I wouldn't notice the meter If I was a college prof I wouldn't be able to accept a donation at school because that would likely break conduct rules. Accepting money from another source while on the job. anon ways of giving are donating to certain charity groups that have 12% or less toward "administration costs" that means upwards of 85% directly toward the charitable good. Most wealthy people like to give because of tax breaks. if you just like someone and want to give them money. then mail a anon money order, with a hand written note explaining that you want to give this person money because..... and that there is no need to pay back as it is a gift.
- Im not rich but people have done stuff for me out of the blue and im humbled and know that i have a duty to do unto others what has been done for me i would be humbled but accept the gift
- I think it is "less stalkerish" if it is done in small amounts. Drops of generosity here and and there rather than pouring a bucket over someone's head. I agree with the person above. If I cam out and my meter was full I'd be like aww, some nice person put money in the meter for me. But if I found several thousand dollars in my mailbox...I'd call the police. But you know, leave a larger tip for a really good waitress. Mail a medium sized check to a needy family (it won't be 100% anonymous, but they still mightn't know who you are. Leave some money at differnt high schools and direct them in an anonymous letter to use it for scholarships.. And for what it's worth, I don't think it's weird. When I'm older and have a steady job, I hope to do something similar.
- Yes I would. When you really need money to pay bills never ask where the money is from. That does not mean doing anything ilegal. I mean they say if you pray for something real hard God will give it to you. Now that doesn;t mean he will let you hit the lottery. Or doing something bad. he will get those bills paid his way. Working hard and trying to make it that way.Or if someone could loan you money to start a business. Sure times are tough for alot of people. If I had money I would help. Seeing I don't have money that doesn't mean you can't help people. You can collect for charities. help older people by visiting them in a nursing home. If someone can't get to chuch and you're going give them a ride. If you go to a store to get groceries ask a neighbor who can't go if they need something. Money is a great tool and if your telling the truth thank God for you. There are alot of things in life that money can't buy. I will name some. Health, family, friendship, Heaven especially Heaven. You can't buy God. All the money in the world can't buy God. Yoy have to earn your way to Heaven weather your rich or poor. So yes I would like some money.I could use it but rich people very seldom part with it. God bless Steve.
