Is smoking allowed in or on Post Office properties in California?

Are people allowed to smoke in the Post office? Outside the Post Office near the door?

1. No smoking inside the building. My Post Office has an ashtray just outside the doors. Hospitals here do not allow smoking on the property.
2. Post offices are federal property. There is no smoking inside post offices anywhere in the country. You shouldn't have a problem smoking outdoors however --- if you are far enough away from the door not to annoy other patrons.
3. Not in the Post Office and not within 25 feet of the door.
