Lost my tracking number for USPS can I locate package by address?
I freaking hate the USPS, I mailed the package using the automated machine, and apparently there is no way to get into the memory of that machine and locate my tracking number. We can put a man on the moon, spend 200 mill on a horrible version of Watchmen, but for some reason it is feasibly impossible to rediscover my tracking number. If I go to the USPS store, with transaction information from my bank account, and the recipient's address will they be able to locate the tracking number?

- No. You do realize that there are approximately 2 million numbers generated for shipping services every day, don't you? The "memory" of the APC is dumped every evening. USPS mainframes maintain more than 4 Peta-Bytes of information. Probably a whole lot easier for you to be responsible enough not to lose your information than to sift through a couple of million numbers to find yours.
