  1. The current price is 44 cents. You will need a 3 cent make up stamp to use the 41. The "forever" stamps really are forever. You can use them now and when the postage goes up again you can still use them.
  2. 44, but the 'forever' stamps will work
  3. On May 11, 2009, the postage stamp increased from 42¢ to 44¢ The Forever Stamp, that was purchased "prior" to May 11th, can still be used. On May 11th, the cost of the Forever Stamp, increased in price, to 44¢. The next time you purchase the Forever Stamp, it will cost you 44¢ per stamp.
  4. Regular postage is now 44 cents. The stamps with bells on them are indeed "Forever" stamps and you can use them in the year 2020 if you wish. The older stamps with 41 on them, will need extra postage - so you will need to get a 3 cent stamp for every 4l cent stamp you have left on hand! Good luck.
  5. Thanks for asking this question. I only have stamps on hand that show 42c postage. And one is already on a note to a friend. Maybe she can pay the remaining postage at her end, as I don't have any penny stamps. I see it pays to buy the 'forever' stamps in the long haul. I rarely have the need for stamps, otherwise I would have been on top of the increase. I'll give you a star for calling this to my attention.
  6. Forever is right. Your Forever stamps are good with no additional postage necessary no matter how high the cost of a stamp goes.
  7. Forty four cents. The Bells are forever stamps and they mean just that. Still the best bargain for the money. I
  8. The current rate is 44 cents...I can remember when I was graduated from college the first time in 1968, the rate was 6 cents!
  9. The price is now 44 cents. I usually buy the forever stamps but last time was given 42 cent stamps by mistake. I made sure that I used them up before the price went up so I didn't have to fool with buying one cent stamps. The price of stamps seems to go up every year so I would certainly recommend buying the forever stamps and you will never have to worry about having the right stamp.
