How long does it take for you to receive your forwarded usps mail?

I am planning to change my address online on the usps website, which will take effect next week. Will my mails be delayed? How do they actually forward the mail? Do they send it to your old address and then forward it to your new one if it's still in the mailbox? I'm waiting for my nclex results which should come in about two weeks and don't want it to be delayed for another week. Geez I've been waiting for 4 weeks already. =(

1. Nurse Hu? Add one extra day at the most. If you are at the same post office no change.
2. I would suggest you telephone the old post office where you previously lived after you make the change and make sure they received the new address. You may also want to contact the places you are expecting mail and email, call or mail them your new address so it will not be delayed with the forwarding process. Maybe NCLEX has a website where you can put in the new address
