how much would it cost to ship a crib?

I have a baby crib that weighs about 100 lbs, if taken apart and put in a box the dimensions are 49" H x 29.5" W x 60.75" D. but when ive looked at fedex online or ups they say its too large and i try freight and its over 400 dollars just to ship. is it possible for them to ship normally without freight if i actually went into the store with it? what would the cheapest way to do it be?

1. It would be cheaper to buy a new crib.
2. Depends on the crib and where your buying it from. Maybe tax 2.
3. Try using this tool on the US Postal Service Web site. I'd do the calculation, but I don't know where you're shipping to or from nor how fast it needs to get there. http://postcalc.usps.gov/
4. You can't ship any single package that weighs more than 70 pounds through the USPS.
