how long does it take for an electronic postal change of address to take effect?

I'm moving on June 30th and I put in change of address online to start forwarding my mail on June 28th. Will all my mail from that day onwards be sent to my future address or will it take a few days for them to start doing that? Thank you for the replies! Let me clarify, I actually changed my address electronically, so will my carrier get the notification?

1. Yes it will be sent but it might take a week to come but its gonna be llate for a while
2. As long as the carrier for your old address receives the notification, all the mail will be forwarded starting on the 28th. There will be a small delay for processing your mail for forwarding, the longest being for any packages that might get sent to your old address. Make sure to notify your correspondents of your current address as soon as possible to cut down on the delayed mail.
