Postal Letter

Greek postal codes?? Want to send a letter to a place in Greece...?

Haha, basically i've been on holiday in Greece and want to send a thankyou card to the place i stayed. I THINK i have found a postal code for the place i stayed at. Basically it's 5 numbers and that is it. Is this a post code for Greece?? Any help would be appreciated as I would love to send a card :) Also, anyone know the cost of sending mail abroad??

1. There is not just one postal code for greece. each neighborhood in each town has its own. postage from USA is 94 cents
2. You do not need a postal code..... hell you do not need an address. Just write " TO: George in Greece" That's it !!! we all know each other ..... hell we all related to each other anyway... If you insist check here (yes it is a 5 digit code) http://english.elta.gr/index.asp
3. Since in Greece all places with the exception of big cities are inhabited by people who more know each other sending a letter with no Postal Code will be delivered to the right person. Especially if it going to be to a business address. Anyway, the 5 digit postal code is better be written as GR 00000 and that is to help your postal service to know where to send it to.
