How do I ship a parcel package at post office?

Do I have to bring the item(s) in and they will package them for me or do I buy the shipping boxes first. I wanna open an ebay bussiness and I never used post office before to ship out packages.

1. Post Office will give you priority mail and flat rate boxes for free. You can also order these items for free from the USPS web site. You need to package the items yourself and read the USPS regulations about items that can be mailed. Don't worry it isn't rocket science.
