Should a usps package delivery man come up to you?
I ask this because I think I heard somewhere that they are suppose to come up to your apartment but there have been more than a few times where they have told me to come down. I just want to know if it is part of their job description to come upstairs or not. I know that it is for ups and fedex but i am not sure about the usps.

- I don't think there is any sort of clear cut "rule" on that. It's the government, afterall. They do what they want.
- It depends on the package and if they failed to deliver because you were unavailable. UPs and FedEx do it also. Do not knock the postal service unfairly.
- Not necessarily. It depends on the type of delivery that is customary at that location. If delivery is through wall boxes or cluster boxes, it is not required for the carrier to trek to your door. If the delivery is at your door, then the carrier is to take any mail to the delivery point.
