Can the US Postal Service Refuse To Employ Me?

I'm in the hiring process with the USPS...Tuesday I will be sent for a physical. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with a heart condition, not debilitating, but a weak heart muscle. I'm on medication. As a result of learning this, can the postal service refuse to employ me? Since the medication, I don't experience any disability and I'm fully capable of functioning.

  1. Of course they can refuse to employ you - but they won't because of your heart condition unless it would prevent you from doing your job. Good luck.
  2. they can refuse to hire anyone but as long as your medical condition doesn't resctrict you from doing your job you should be fine. good luck that's a good job to get ;)
  3. The only thing that keeps people from being employed with the USPS is their failing the mandatory drug test. Hope you're clean!
