How do you notify the mailman that you have outgoing mail if you have one of those house boxes with no flag?
You know the small boxes mounted on the side of your house by the door....well, they have no flag, so how do you let the mailman know you have mail to be sent out? I've left mail in there and he doesn't pick it up.

- Don't you have postboxes over there?...
- You take it to the nearest mailbox. You should never use those red flags for mail pickup anyway. People who commit crimes like fraud and identity theft cruise through neighborhoods during the day when people are at work and look for red flags that are up, then they steal your mail. It's an easy way for them to get signed checks, which they can then forge.
- The safest way of sending mail is to find the nearest drop box. Aside from that, I have sometimes used a clothes pin to pin it to the outside of the box. You might also use a marker and color the pin red or something more noticeable. If you send out a lot of mail, you might want a metal binder clip like used by office workers. P.S. If it looks like rain, put your mail in a ziploc baggie.
