Postal Letter

Best / cheapest way to mail out catalogs to a large quantity of local residents?

I work for my family business and we'd like to mail out our catalogs to 13,000 households within the county. What's the least expensive way of obtaining the mailing addresses and mailing them out? I understand I can buy mailing lists and notice most catalogs either have a permit # with the post office or have address labels that read "Resident". Thank you!

  1. Your major post office will supply you with all of the addresses in a zip code on a cd. There is a cost. Names are not included. For this many mailings you should get a permit and use the lower rate. One thing you can do is to sort the mail by zip code if you are using multiple zip codes. That reduces the cost also.
  2. In order for you to achieve the least expensive cost, you MUST have a printer or mailhouse prepare your mailing. You cannot achieve the best postage rates without special software and sorting procedures that only they can provide. The cheapest occupant lists can be obtained from www.melissadata.com The cheapest mailing sevice in the country (USA) is www.myezprinter.com ...and yeah we''ve done the research :)
