Postal Letter

Can you ship goods in USPS priority mail boxes via another service?

Is it possible to take those free USPS priority mail boxes, cross out wherever it says "priority mail" or "United States Postal Service" and get away with shipping something in those boxes via a cheaper shipping service like first-class?

  1. No. Your packaged would be short paid and would be marked up as Postage Due to the Priority Mail rate of postage. It is printed right on the box, This is the property of the US Postal Service and is only to be used for shipping by USPS Priority Mail service. Or similar wording. If you wish to use another service, you need to provide your own container.
