Question for usps employee or those who know something about shipping?

My package was mailed from Florida last thursday 8/23 and two nights ago 8/28 it showed enroute and it was scanned in Kearny, New Jersey. What's that mean? and when shoould I receive my package? The package is upposed to arrive in Philadelphia, PA

  1. It probably goes to NJ buy plane, then is sorted, and shipped by truck to regional hub. then taken to local post office by smaller truck, then sorted then brought by mail carrier to you. Could take a while.
  2. It should mean that you package is on its way to PA. Its enroute (or in route) to its destination. For instance, my paycheck is enroute to bill collectors. haha
  3. It just is brought to diferent sorting facilities, it is the way Usps operates. its normalf This way they can transmit a lot of packages with a least amount of truck fuel consumption. Instead of going directly from florda to where ever you are, it goes to the diferent sorting facilities until it finds it way to your local distribution area.
  4. When it is scanned in a different city, it is just a way of telling its progress and where it has been so far. Priority Mail is normally about 2-3 days and it not guaranteed but Parcel Post could take FOREVER! It is not reliable at all. Just be watching for it, it should be getting to you anytime if it was already in Jersey on the 28th.
