  1. sorry, i don't really get you.
  2. Go online to put in an application and to get more accurate information. I know you have to take a test and you usually start out working part time and not getting paid very much. You really got to be careful though, because when postal workers get mad about something or if they get fired they have a tendency to show up to work with a high powered rifle and kill as many people as they can. it is called "going postal".
  3. You take a written civil service test when they offer one in your area. Once you pass, then you go on to the interview process. If they like you, you could be delivering mail by summer. If they don't like you, you may end up sorting the mail packages for some time.
  4. Access the postal service website and select careers. This should allow you to set up a jobs by email alert so you can apply for the jobs as they become available.
  5. First you have to take the Civil Service test and receive a passing score. The highest 3 scores for your area are sent an application and usually interviewed. If you get past that; you have to pass a test and a driving test. Then depending on what you tested for Clerk or Carrier, you will start to work. And your pay is not low, you just start at the bottom of our pay scale. In most offices even part timers; which is how everone starts out; will usually end up working 40 hrs or more a week. You have 90 working days of evaluation to make it through. Once you pass that, then you will have to mess up big time to get let go. Regardless what the media and other stupid people would have you believe, there is no more in the Post Office than any other huge business. Good luck.
