How long does USPS mail take to get to a city in the same county if mailed on time on Monday?

How long does USPS mail take to get to a city, (city is next to mine), in the same county if mailed on time on Monday? Would the recipient receive the mail on Tuesday or Wednesday? If i mailed it first class would it be faster and requires a signature? Thanks!

4. I know that when I sent my wedding announcements, many in town, the same city/close by announcements were received in 1 day. Some took 2 days. I would get it out on Monday, and hope for Tuesday delivery. If it really really has to get there by Tuesday, then I would be getting in the car and driving it over.
5. If you get it in the mail box before the mail is picked up for the day, it should get there by the next day. All regular mail is first class. If you want to waste your money and require a signature, you can. It won't get there any faster. Even priority won't make it faster. It's only going a few miles. Just make sure you get it in the box before pickup and you should be fine.
