Why is the Govt giving a $4 billion bailout to the Postal Service?
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0909/27513.html I thought they generated a positive cash flow.

- Think again the benefits of the unionized postal workers is what is breaking the bank, certainly their services have gone down hill
- Here goes waste of taxpayers money. They are still not trying to cut the deficit. What a waste!
- Yet another example of a government agency that is being poorly managed.
- Becau.se the government is so inefficient they lose money at everything. If the government took over the prostitution racket they would lose money at that. Everything the government touches turns to a turd
- Because the USPS is vital to the maximum efficient operation of the public domain and its needs. The USPS offers services that no one else would even consider. Not Fed-Ex, not UPS, not DHL, etc. There was a proposal to close 10 Post Offices here in my town, and the public outcry was loud! Now, only 3 will be closed. Personally, I liked the little 2-clerk Post Office Express we had in our nearby supermarket. When the supermarket went out of business, they evicted the P.O. Now I have to drive more than 5 miles to the nearest P.O. if I need a service that those bigger guy just don't offer.
- FAILED BUSH ECONOMY is still here ha hah ahha hahahahah
- Wait.. Wasn't the post office supposed to be a shining example of how private sectors can compete with the gov't? I wonder what would happen if UPS went tits up. I bet they wouldn't get a bailout.
