- The important thing to remember is that it happened on 0bama's watch.
- It shows that some of the directorates of the US Constitution are unsustainable over time or worth amending
- Internet has hurt business. Twenty years ago you had to send your bill and check by mail, now you do it online.
- The U.S. is changing & has to adapt to those changes. The days of snail mail when we have e-mail, message boards, facebook etc. is a thing of bygone days. Packages can be sent via other ways (private industry).
- Probubly neither, its progress, now is progress good or bad, your call
- I have a brother in law that works in the post office, and he says for every 1 person doing work, there are 2 people not doing work. It can be bad news because the people who actually do work will probably lose their jobs, or be transferred to an office far from where they live.
- The pony express was more efficient.
- It's neither good nor bad. It's a sign of changing technology. The post office isn't going broke because it is mismanaged.. it is broke because it is antiquated equipment. With text messaging, email, phones, web-pay, etc., no one needs to send a letter anymore.
- Good in the sense that they can no longer limp along with periodic rate increases, but must finally overhaul services for the 21st Century. Like most newspapers, postal officials never felt that they could be swept away in these dramatically changing times....and are now very late to see the writing on the wall.
- I've been expecting this and it's not as much the Internet, as it is the service they provide. UPS and FEDX are for more superior companies with which to send your packages. R.I.P. USPS!
