Postal Letter

USPS package problem?

I ordered something from amazon a few days ago. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but i wasn't home, so the delivery guy left one of those slips in my mailbox that tells me to pick it up at my local postal office. So the next day, i go to pick it up. After waiting 40 minutes, they tell me that they can't find it. Then they give me a number and told me to call it on monday (since tomorrow is sunday) I looked up the number, and it's the same number as the post office that i went to pick up my package. Then i checked the track and confirm on amazon, and it said it was delivered. Then i checked it again a few hours later, and it said "available for pickup" at 12:29 pm. that was the exact time that i went to the postal office to pick it up before. Does anyone know what i should do to get my package that no one at the postal office seems to know where it is?

1. maybe you got unlucky and asked them the second it was being scanned in.. call them on monday, maybe you got there a second too soon.
