how many USPS employees have been laid off during/since the recession.?

how many in the US? how many in the bay area? oh...if needed... more specifically city carriers.

1. USPS employees that are covered by the American Postal Workers Union have a "no layoff" clause in their union contract. That would be all postal employees except mail handlers, city carriers and rural carriers. I'm not sure if the other crafts have a "no layoff" clause in their contracts.
