How long does it usually take for USPS to ship a book?

A friend of mine said he saw a book I was looking for on ebay and decided to purchase it for me. The person e-mailed him and said he shipped it off by USPS on Monday. It's coming from GA and I live in CA. How long would it take for a book maybe the size and weight of a typical yearbook take to reach me. It's been almost a week now and I still haven't received anything.

1. go to USPS.com and do a time in transit calculation
2. All depends on how they shipped it. If it was media it could take up to 3 weeks.
3. If they sent it by media mail (which would include books) it could take up to 3 weeks.
