Is there a way to refuse junk coupons from the mailman?

I'm tired of the pile of junk mail I get in my mail box. I don't want the coupons or deals and have no use for them. I asked the mailman not to place them in my box, however, they do anyway. Is there a way to get the junk mail to stop?

2. The mailman must deliver the mail, he cant just pick and choose what mail he delivers to you. Take the coupon or junkmail and write RETURN TO SENDER on it and then sign your name under it.
3. request him not to give them to you. Otherwise, pop them in the recycle bin!

Stopping junk mail tips: http://www.obviously.com/junkmail/ Some advertisement are delivered automatically by the mailman..probably the ones you are talking about..if you do not want them and cannot get them to stop coming, call your post office and complain and at least take the papers and put them in your recycle bin rather than tossing them in the trash.
