1. Well, if you don't want to spend much money and want it there reasonably fast, Priority Mail with the US Post Office will get your package between any two US cities in 3 to 5 days. It is most often within the 3 day range, especially this time of year. AND you can buy postage and print a label right from your computer.

3. Depends on what you mean by standard. Shipping from the continental US to Alaska with parcel post could take 2-3 weeks. Priority takes about 3 days. Florida to Texas takes about 5 days with Parcel Post, 2 days with Priority. http://www.quicksupply.net
