Postal Letter

Who would've ever thought that the United States Postal Service would need a Bail out?

Didn't they just raise the price of the stamp? Where did that revenue go. Nice golden parachute packages are ok for them but not for others. Interesting.

  1. its another example of how overgrown govt is an EPIC FAILURE
  2. I don't think it is their first bailout.
  3. It's not a bailout. It's an increase in the price of a stamp. You think it should be locked in stone forever? That's unrealistic.
  4. But government-run healthcare will do just fine! yeah right...
  5. go mail a letter at fedex and see what it cost you
  6. The govt can't run anything. Why would anyone ever want them running healthcare, I don't know. Stupid I guess
  7. You can still send a letter for 44 cents...How much for UPS ?
  8. Everyone who realized the power of the internet.
  9. It is one of the crowning achievemnts of government service. It works, just like what Obama will do to health care.
  10. That is our government run programs,
  11. Obama is proud of them. He will probably be there handing out awards any day now.
  12. its different for them, obama and nacy pelosi got nothing to gain from putting the USPS on trail and doing there standard witch trails trying to burn the villain when the villain is the government. they tried it with the oil industry and failed because they were to legit. they really got nasty with the car industry because they were in great dept which led to there government takeover. the bailouts on wall street got the people really going. but the postal service has no fans and all the blame is on our leaders.
  13. When was the last time the USPS made a profit? You might have to go back to the days of the Pony Express to find the answer for that one. Really though I don't think the post office has operated at a profit for at least the last 30 years or so, but as an example as why they cannot make a profit, last year they started speaking about cutting mail service out on Saturdays, yet they had no intention of cutting employees hours, I would guess the biggest part of the USPS operating cost is manpower and their plan would have done nothing to lesson that cost.
  14. Given the reckless policies of liberals to remedy our troubles, and the failure our government is at running things such as the post office. I would have easily guessed they'd need a bailout. God bless.
  15. not me. my dad did 37 years in usps. delivered mail in balmer merland. died in '76 and mom is 90 still collecting his pension
