Postal Letter

Will the mailman take my outgoing package?

I live in California and I wanna send a gift to my friend in New Jersey. If I leave a package out on my door step will the mailman take it for me? It's nothing big. It'll be a pound or two.

1. I too am in California and my sister in law is a postal worker.You have to take it to the post office and have it weighed. I think you might be able to get enough stamps from the vending machines inside the P.O. to slap some on there and put it in the drop box. Being Sunday, you'll have to wait till tomarrow for mail so I'd wait till then and go to P.O.
2. I think that he will, if it's no big deal. But if he doesn't then just go to the post office, or put it in the P.O box.
