- No, you can get a job with U.S. postal service with your green card... USPS Employees must be a United States citizen, a lawful permanent resident alien (i.e., possession of a “green card”), a citizen of American Samoa or any other territory owing permanent allegiance to the United States. Individuals solely granted asylum status, refugee status or conditional permanent resident status are not eligible for Postal Service employment.
- Don't say "only". You have gone through all of the steps so that the US government has deemed you as a permanent resident. You are not a full citizen yet but for all intensive purposes you are close enough. Yes you may get a job with the USPS. But from my understanding they have done huge cutbacks, plan some more and did a hiring freeze in some way.
- to work at United States Post Office you have to be a United States Citizen
