Postal Letter

Does USPS deliver packages to my post office or home?

Hi all. A friend of mine recently sent me a package through USPS. Now he lives in the US and I live in Canada. I was wondering if USPS will deliver the package to my local post office or my home? Since there is no USPS locations in Canada as far as I know, I don't know if there is going to be someone driving up in a USPS truck to give me the package at home or if it will go through customs and be sent to my post office. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  1. It will go through customs, and it will be delivered to your home. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I think parcels get transfered from USPS to the regular Canadian postal service when they cross the border. I send things to a girl I know who lives in Canada all the time (I'm in the USA) and there's never been a problem. They always get delivered to her address, not a post office.
