what does this mean on usps tracking?

I ordered something off of ebay that is in china. For a little over a week now the only thing it has said on tracking is Origin Post is Preparing Shipment. Is it lost or does it normally take that long.

1. It means that they are packaging your item. They will ship it within the next couple of days
2. I don't understand. You can't get usps tracking from China. usps is only from the United States Post Office and your seller is shipping your stuff from China. There is no United States Post Office in China. Do you mean UPS? It probably means that you've been had. That's the eBay way!
3. If it's coming directly from China it's going to take several weeks just to get to the US.
4. if it UPS it just means it has not shipped yet. or is not in their tracking system yet. I mean who knows what goes on in china shipping. And as stated above the USPS does not ship from china. just the USA. call the usps and see what they say about it. could be the package will have to enter the usa before the usps picks it up. then it would appear in there system. it may just not have reached the shores of the usa yet.
