Why is the head of the U.S. Postal Service moonlighting for extra cash?
Isn't his $232,000 salary enough? Will Obama sic the pay Czar after him? http://washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jan/04/postal-boss-moonlights-for-cash-from-corporations/

- Well, we all know no one can live on $500k in NYC after what the bankers told us. I guess the same must be true for DC.
- He is probably anticipating how his taxes under Obama and the Democrats will go through the roof. He's just planning ahead.
- $232,000 is not an outrageous salary. Actually, a bit low for an executive level position like that.
- Lot's of people hold multiple jobs in the public and private sectors... As long as they don't generate a conflict of interest, then what is the problem ? Oh... I guess you thought you had something with this one huh ?... Try again.... This is fun !
- If I were you, I would be upset that RNC head Michael Steel is double dipping by collecting a salary created by your political donations to give public speeches, then turning around and demanding a speaking fee on top of his salary.
- Unless there's a conflict of interest he's doing nothing wrong. A position as head of a private company the size of the Post Office would pay millions.
- They are a quasi government agency and have not been supported by tax payers since 1972 except for a one time bail out in 1982 during the Reagan administration. I am more baffled why you would be worrying about what other people make in their professions as conservatives are all about a man making as much as he can. The Post Office is about one year away from reaching their borrowing limit and then you will see a real mess.
- The article mentions that he's allowed to do this. If he feels that he needs the additional income, and isn't prohibited from doing this, then why wouldn't he take advantage of the additional opportunities?
- to cover his black mail & tab for the hookers at the convention they had in Vegas last year
